Whether you’re fundraising for your school or sporting group, or celebrating an event within your company, we want to help you create an atmosphere of fun and belonging within your community.

Since 1959

Camelot Amusements has been operating since 1959, originally as Lawson’s Amusements. It became Camelot Amusements when it was sold to the Kearns family in 1990.

We love nothing more than using these years of experience to help our clients. When we first started out our focus was on providing the most fun and eye-popping rides we could for each event.

Over the years we have come to realise we have the opportunity to provide much more than a fun day out for the kids – we have the chance to work within communities and help enhance and grow the generous spirit we so often find.

We are privileged to work with so many clients who selflessly volunteer their time and energy for their communities and we want to ensure their efforts are appreciated by helping them develop a wonderful event.

We endeavour to do this by helping to shoulder some of the burden of organisation for them.

Matt Kearns

Amusement Ride Specialist

Matt has been around the amusement ride industry since he was 8 years old. Initially Matt pursued a career in Rugby Union and Personal Training, where he learnt the importance of working hard towards your goals within a team dynamic and how to gently guide others towards their own goals. He officially took over Camelot Amusements from his father in 2007. Over this time he has learnt how to expertly combine rides to ensure your age groups and crowd volumes are catered for, so everyone has a great time. He loves nothing more than working with clients year after year to help build their events. Genuinely a big kid at heart, he also loves to personally test run every new ride himself – as long as it doesn’t spin too fast.

Kelly Kearns

Event Organisation Manager

Kelly started her working career within the field of Architecture. Here she learnt how to see the big picture and then break it down into an organised, well-documented plan. Her more methodical approach to things means that you will most likely receive your documentation to help with your event organisation from her. If you need anything just ask her! When she’s not behind the desk she’s looking after her & Matt’s three daughters. Viewing the challenges of parenting young children through her own eyes, and helping within her children’s own school community, has given her an appreciation of many of our clients concerns. Safety, positive experiences and providing the best for your kids are her goals too.

The Kearns Girls

Ride Testers

Matt and Kelly’s girls have the most important job of all. No new ride purchase goes ahead without their nod of approval. You may see the eldest two girls on site helping their parents in their very own work uniforms. They take their jobs very seriously and can be seen testing the rides for hours on end.
